Michael Parmenter has a long history of community and social dance activity. He established Balfolk Auckland in 2019 and in addition to
weekly classes in Auckland, Parmenter has taught numerous Balfolk workshops and staged a series of enormously successful Folk Balls. He has
been a passionate tango dancer for the past 15 years, is currently writing Life Between Us: A Manual for Partner Improvisation in Dance.
He is Director of Tango Insolente.
